Small series in dry pastel, the brushstrokes are light and airy and the colours bright, bringing dynamism and freshness to the whole. These studies, recorded in the artist’s notebooks, were perhaps used for larger compositions in oil on linen, such as \u2018Au printemps\u2019 and \u2018Clocher de la Marie de Paris\u2019, which can be found in the Parisian landscapes<\/a>.<\/p>\n
