Isabelle Delannoy loves series, the theme can be the same, but the result is always different. The idea of the Nymphéas became obvious when the artist visited in 2018 the exhibition Nympheas : American abstraction and the last Monet. The name was found naturally when two of these floral paintings were selected for the film “50 Shades of Gray” …
Versions 12 and 13 are collages and version 14 is a pastel. The following versions are in progress…

After the cerulean blue of the classic version of N°6, N°4 is very different. It offers us a more classic version. The work focuses on the transparency of water. An infinity of blues intermingle and respond to each other in the many layers of oil paint placed on this linen canvas.
